HBS is launching a new version of its stud welding power source, the Accu Twin II, with a number of interesting innovations. These include a battery that offers greater autonomy.

Accu Twin II : a new version with twice the autonomy

Designed for fitting heating cost distributors to radiators, this Accu Twin II is the new version of the Accu Twin you already know.

The Twin II battery is now fitted with an integrated LifePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) lithium battery and Battery Management System (BMS). The BMS monitors and controls the entire battery at all times. It also balances the battery when necessary. Finally, it authorises charging and discharging according to voltage limits. This optimises battery life. The result: a charging cycle that can be up to 10 times longer than the old version.

It should be noted, however, that it is advisable not to go below 50 soldering operations in order to prolong the life of the battery.

A new version with all the necessary equipment

Like its predecessor, the new version of the Accu Twin II also comes with a Micromot 60 sander, an integrated compartment for the gun, a cable winder and a digital display. In addition, other accessories are available as standard, including a tool kit, a vehicle adaptor with 12V charging cable, a magnetic storage case and a charger.

Simple to use

The stud welding generator can be used on both alloyed and unalloyed steel surfaces. Welding on aluminium is only possible under certain conditions. As with the original version, the chuck centre distance has a range of use from 25 mm to 60 mm. It can, of course, be adjusted to the nearest millimetre.

The Accu Twin has a welding rate of 2 double welds per minute. Welding is also exclusively possible using the “contact” welding process.
