XAH and XAS expanding rings

XAH and XAS expanding rings, also known as Snap-Rings, are single-turn rings with a square edge and a gap.

The special feature of XAH and XAS expanding rings is that they are heavy-duty rings that can withstand very high forces and loads.

They are mainly used to lock an assembly in translation and are often used in fields such as the automotive industry.

However, they can also be used in the event of repeated impacts.

Finally, XAH and XAS expansion rings are designed for mounting in an internal groove (XAH) or external groove (XAS).

A high-quality manufacturing process

XAH and XAS expanding rings are manufactured by winding a flat wire with a constant cross-section, rather than by stamping.

Their manufacturing process offers the advantage of no stamping burrs or material loss. The fact that they have no ears makes installation easier, as there is no interference with adjacent components in the assembly.

They are highly reliable and are unlikely to disassemble themselves. They are available with a disassembly method that depends on internal or external use.

A wide range to suit all your requirements

The range of expanding rings includes over 1000 standard sizes available in carbon steel and 302 stainless steel. However, if your application has special requirements, such as diameter, bending, material used, ring size, finish, ends, specific ring designs are possible, without tooling costs.

XAH expanding rings are in inches and are available in diameters from 0.375 to 10″.

XAS expanding rings are in inches and come in diameters from 0.312 to 10″.

Over 300 rings are interchangeable with EATON expansion rings.

Special parts can be offered in diameters from 4mm to 3000mm and require no tooling costs.

Similarly, prototypes can be produced quickly for large or small volume orders and adjustments to designs can be made easily throughout the production process.
