TitanoxSelf-locking crimp nuts
Self-locking crimp nuts : a threadlocker for thin sheet metal
Titanox Self-locking crimp nuts are specifically recommended for use in environments where shocks and vibrations are frequent. They retain their braking properties, allowing repeated use of the nut while maintaining the strength of the threadlocker and a high tightening torque. The nuts avoid the risk of loosening and unscrewing even under conditions of extreme tension. They also protect the screw threads.
The assembly is durable, with deformation of the sheet metal rather than the insert. The fastener is reliable and resistant to tearing, mechanical stress and vibration, depending on the nature and dimensions of both the insert and the support.
Quick and easy installation
Installation is particularly quick and easy in punched or drilled holes, helping to optimize productivity. Simply apply pressure to crimp the skirt completely into the sheet metal. This can be done using a crimping press, such as Titanox’s T60 and T90 models. It is important to note that the length of the skirt must be less than the thickness of the sheet metal, to ensure optimum hold and avoid deformation of the insert.
Once the nut has been installed on one side, the opposite side remains smooth.
Available from M2.5 to M5 in steel and stainless steel.
A wide range of applications
Self-locking crimp nuts are ideal for fine sheet metal subcontractors, stampers and metal component manufacturers. Crimp fasteners can be used for a wide range of applications in virtually all industries. These include the medical, electronics and aerospace industries.
