      Southco’s VISE ACTION® latches are the solution for fast, tight closure in a variety of applications where vibration, tightness and quality are prime requirements. Thanks to their innovative mechanism, these latches meet specific installation and application requirements, offering enhanced performance.

      VISE ACTION® compression latches: the innovating locking solution

      VISE ACTION® latches operate by easily aligning the cam behind the frame and exerting a compression action in a single, continuous half-turn. This compression ensures an even axial travel of 6.4mm, providing optimum sealing against external elements in gasketed applications. Compression also helps to reduce or eliminate unwanted vibration noise.

      A wide range of models for foolproof versatility

      Southco offers six body models to suit different door or panel thicknesses, clamping ranges, actuator types and internal dimensions. These models feature an easy-grip knob and a handle for quick and easy access.

      To limit access or prevent vandalism, Southco offers more than 45 manually operated models, requiring the use of a tool. These models offer additional security for your equipment.

      A variety of options to suit all requirements

      The VISE ACTION® range of latches offers a wide variety of options, including different materials such as stainless steel, chrome finishes and black powder coatings. Assembled versions allow quick and easy fitting, while non-assembled versions are suitable for thicker doors and restricted access configurations.

      To meet specific user requirements, Southco offers models suitable for 2 and 3 point compression latches, providing a complete solution for secure locking. In addition, a lightweight hard-anodised aluminium version compliant with EN 45545 is available, ideal for aerospace, bus and car applications.
